Using out-of-area tips

Household recycling centre

Some Gloucestershire residents live closer to household recycling centres operated by neighbouring authorities than to the offical tips operated by our County Council. It would be more convenient and less environmentally damaging if they could use out-of-area tips. Some people think it might even reduce fly-tipping.

The councils concerned would need to agree fair compensation between them, and we are gathering evidence of demand so that we can encourage them to negotiate. If you agree in principle, please add your name to this petition.

Household recycling centres petition

I the undersigned agree that if a resident's nearest household recycling centre is over the border in a different county, they should have the option of using it instead of one of the Gloucestershire tips.
