A new doctors' surgery for Newent is urgently needed as it is too small for the local population. Children, older people and surgery staff are suffering, and all the time pressure on the surgery  is growing.

Development of surgeries is run by Gloucestershire's Integrated Care Board (ICB) who are not expecting to see a business case until 2028; and after that there will be years of design, planning and construction. The first step should be an outline proposal, but the ICB insists on doing that as well, even though it has insufficient staff and the job could probably be done perfectly well by the Practice itself with local support.

This petition will be presented to the ICB and calls on them to make a start now.

New doctors' surgery for Newent

I the undersigned call on Gloucestershire's Integrated Care Board to accelerate the provision of a new doctors' surgery for Newent
